A Prefeitura de Sorocaba, por meio da Secretaria da Cidadania (Secid), alerta a população sobre um caso envolvendo um falso atendimento, em nome do Conselho Tutelar de Sorocaba, ocorrido nesta semana, em uma residência da Vila Barão. O intuito é que os moradores saibam como identificar como é a atuação do órgão municipal em casos de denúncia.

“É importante alertar a todos para que saibam identificar como é realizado os atendimentos dos conselheiros tutelares, para que não ocorra algo mais grave com esse tipo de golpe. A princípio trata-se de um fato isolado e incomum, que já está sendo verificado pelo Conselho Tutelar e demais órgãos competentes”, destaca a coordenadora da Regional Norte do Conselho Tutelar, Lígia Guerra.

O Conselho Tutelar é o órgão encarregado pela sociedade de zelar pelo cumprimento dos direitos da criança e do adolescente, definidos pelo Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (ECA). Tem como atribuições aconselhar os pais ou responsáveis, além de atender as crianças e adolescentes que necessitam de proteção, quando em situações de risco, violência ou negligência.

Os conselheiros tutelares de Sorocaba atuam utilizando carros oficiais brancos, identificados com o logotipo da Prefeitura de Sorocaba. Além disso, nos casos envolvendo denúncias, os conselheiros estão sempre acompanhados de uma viatura da Guarda Civil Municipal (GCM) de Sorocaba, da Secretaria de Segurança Urbana (Sesu).
