A Secretaria Municipal de Saúde (SMS) inaugurou, neste sábado (17/2), a revitalização do Hospital Albert Schweitzer, com destaque para as melhorias do CER Realengo, a emergência do complexo de saúde. Com o objetivo de garantir e reforçar a qualidade dos serviços prestados e robustecer a estrutura da unidade — referência no atendimento a casos de urgência e emergência para a população local —, as melhorias trazem mais conforto e segurança aos usuários, além de ampliar a cartela de recursos disponíveis à equipe médica.
O CER Realengo recebeu investimentos em todos os seus setores (salas de atendimento e observação pediátrica, adulta, ortopédica e obstétrica, salas Vermelha, Amarela e de trauma), que ganharam renovações na pintura, forro, iluminação, refrigeração, instalação elétrica, mobiliário, entre outros. Um novo tomógrafo foi adquirido e a unidade passa agora a operar com dois equipamentos.
– O Hospital Albert Schweitzer é um dos mais importantes da Zona Oeste. Hoje, inauguramos várias melhorias, entre elas um novo tomógrafo e uma nova base do Programa de Atendimento Domiciliar ao Idoso, que ajuda a desospitalização dos pacientes. Outro ponto importante é a reforma das salas de emergência da pediatria, da clínica médica, da ortopedia e também da maternidade. Esse hospital atende a mais de 600 pessoas por dia só na emergência. Ao todo, passam duas mil pessoas por dia. Então, é uma unidade muito importante e que é um símbolo da saúde na região da Zona Oeste – disse o secretário municipal de Saúde, Daniel Soranz.
O sistema de climatização da unidade conta com 256 novos aparelhos e o grupo de geradores foi totalmente modernizado. Também foram feitas adequações de acessibilidade no estacionamento e na emergência adulto, que recebeu ampla revitalização, com nova vidraçaria, novo mobiliário e troca do piso. Na maternidade, houve abertura de nova sala e instalação de banheira para as mães, além de reformas nas salas de parto e de observação, no lactário e na sala de apoio à amamentação.
– As novas instalações trouxeram melhora para a unidade, os atendimentos estão sendo mais rápidos. O hospital ficou bem atualizado – disse o paciente Marcos Aurélio, que foi à unidade para atendimento e aprovou as melhorias.
A unidade também ganhou uma nova sala destinada aos profissionais do Programa de Atenção Domiciliar ao Idoso (PADI), que atuarão com o propósito de apoiar na desospitalização dos pacientes elegíveis ao atendimento em domicílio. Adequações estruturais foram realizadas ainda nos setores de saúde mental, farmácia, laboratório — que agora conta com novos móveis planejados — nas salas de raio-x, nos banheiros, nas copas e no auditório.
O Complexo Hospitalar de Realengo — que inclui o Hospital Municipal Albert Schweitzer e o CER Realengo — realiza todo mês cerca de 13 mil atendimentos na emergência, 1,4 mil internações, 300 partos e 600 cirurgias, além de 90 cirurgias ginecológicas agendadas via Sistema de Regulação (SISREG). Em 2023, a unidade passou a ofertar o serviço de cirurgia vascular.
