Vicentina Aranha recebe City Tour neste sábado

O programa City Tour, da Prefeitura de São José dos Campos, visita o Parque Vicentina Aranha no próximo sábado (24).

O tour gratuito terá início às 9h, com concentração na portaria do parque, e contará com apoio e orientação de guias especializados A visita guiada tem duração prevista de 3 horas.

As inscrições para as 25 vagas devem ser feitas pela Central 156 (telefone, site ou aplicativo) ou pelo e-mail turismo@sjc.sp.gov.br até as 12h de sexta-feira (23), véspera do evento.

Patrimônio

O Parque Vicentina Aranha é patrimônio histórico da cidade tombado pelo Comphac (Conselho Municipal de Preservação do Patrimônio Histórico, Artístico, Paisagístico e Cultural do Município de São José dos Campos) e Condephaat (Conselho de Defesa do Patrimônio Histórico, Arqueológico, Artístico e Turístico). 

O Vicentina ocupa uma área de 84.500 m², com 80% de área verde e pistas de caminhada, além de pavilhões projetados pelo arquiteto Ramos de Azevedo, representando um espaço fundamental de preservação ambiental e história da cidade. 

Sua inauguração ocorreu em 27 de abril de 1924 pela Irmandade da Santa Casa de Misericórdia de São Paulo. Era um dos maiores centros para tratamento de tuberculose da América Latina e foi o primeiro sanatório de São José e um dos primeiros do país.

Em 2006, a Prefeitura adquiriu o antigo sanatório, que foi reaberto ao público em 2007. Mais informações sobre o Parque Vicentina Aranha podem ser acessadas pelo site.
